Industry Career

After concluding my postdoctoral research, I transitioned to a career in industry to apply my expertise on problems in the consumer electronics product design space.

My journey began at Amazon Lab126, where I contributed to the design of consumer electronics products through simulation and finite element analysis (FEA) at the system level. I developed comprehensive FEA models for entire devices and evaluated their performance under various user-relevant loading conditions, including drop, shock, as well as environmental conditions such as thermo-mechanical loading, and provided recommendations to make the design robust.

Subsequently, I joined Apple, where I currently work on the development of innovative touch and sensing technology within the hardware technologies division. This role entails designing advanced touch and sensing hardware using FEA at the module level and ensuring seamless integration at the system level within devices.

In both roles, I have drawn heavily from my prior research in wave propagation, critical in understanding dynamic events like drop, and functional materials, which are integral to sensing, batteries, and other key technologies. These experiences have allowed me to merge advanced research conducted during my time in academia with industry-leading product development.
